SAN ANTONIO – A suspect who allegedly charged at police officers with a weapon, leading officers to fatally open fire, has been identified. <\/p>\n

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the suspect as 34-year-old Justin Hernandez, who died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

Just before midnight on Saturday, when officers were called to the Knight’s Inn located at 4039 East Houston Street for a cutting in progress.<\/p>\n

According to Police Chief William McManus, while officers were speaking with the caller at the door, the suspect threatened them and moved “aggressively” towards them.<\/p>\n

Police were originally called to the scene for reports of a cutting in progress. When they arrived, they allegedly found Hernandez cutting himself inside a room at the Knight’s Inn.<\/p>\n

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers or bystanders were injured.
