She was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar at Penn and served as a student clinical assistant at Upstate Medical University this summer.\u00a0\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Lee was \u201cborn with a deep desire to do good\u201d and devoted her life to uplifting others, according to her sister, Chloe Lee, who added that \u201cshe wanted to become a nurse for this very reason.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>A memorial post on social media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LocalLensNews\/posts\/claire-lee-syracuse-nythe-university-of-pennsylvania-community-is-mourning-the-h\/122151904010789220\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">states<\/a> that Lee \u201cwas admired not only for her academic excellence but also for her vibrant spirit and compassion, leaving classmates, professors, and friends grappling with profound grief.\u201d\u00a0\n\t<\/p>\n<p>In high school, Lee <a href=\"https:\/\/thefmbuzz.org\/2004\/clubs-and-activities\/a-glimmer-of-h-o-p-e\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">co-founded<\/a> \u201cClub H.O.P.E.\u201d to support body image and combat diet culture. It featured discussion groups, bonding work, crafts, and speaking events with professionals.\n<\/p>\n<p>She was also a member of the National Honor Society, the Science Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, and the High Honor Roll in high school, and she received the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/803658243015395\/posts\/6278939412153890\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wendi Birnbaum Memorial Scholarship<\/a> in June 2023, which was awarded to a deserving Fayetteville-Manlius senior. Lee was named one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/hslife\/2022\/10\/heres-what-makes-syracusecoms-best-and-brightest-students-so-special-photos.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Syracuse.com\u2019s Best and Brightest students<\/a> in 2022.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>Penn held an in-person support session on Monday. Student Health and Counseling\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/wellness.upenn.edu\/counseling\/lets-talk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Let\u2019s Talk<\/a> program also hosted drop-in hours on Friday.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAMPUS RESOURCES<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Pennsylvanian is an independent, student-run newspaper.
