(KGNS) &#8211; A suspect wanted for their involvement in the murder of 14-year-old Simon Cuevas in west San Antonio has succumbed to his injuries after reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kgns.tv\/2025\/08\/22\/lpd-confirms-capital-murder-suspect-is-custody\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.kgns.tv\/2025\/08\/22\/lpd-confirms-capital-murder-suspect-is-custody\/\">shooting himself in Laredo<\/a> days earlier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to reports from KENS-5, the Bexar County Medical Examiner confirmed that 20-year-old Cesar Tijerina died from his injuries on Monday morning, August 24, at a hospital in San Antonio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On August 22, Laredo Police responded to a call at the 5000 block of Palmito Dr. around 4 a.m. and found Tijerina with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police say Tijerina was initially taken to a local hospital and later flown to San Antonio for recovery, where he was handed over to authorities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It was revealed that Tijerina was involved in Cuevas\u2019s murder in April, when he and a group of people followed Cuevas as he was leaving his house, then pulled out a gun and shot him, leading to his death. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For more headlines, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kgns.tv\/news\/local\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 KGNS.
