{"id":176317,"date":"2025-08-26T06:31:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T06:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/176317\/"},"modified":"2025-08-26T06:31:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T06:31:10","slug":"timeline-for-2-22m-tinker-road-construction-in-colleyville-receives-extension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/176317\/","title":{"rendered":"Timeline for $2.22M Tinker Road construction in Colleyville receives extension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\tThe construction on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colleyville.com\/government\/departments-m-z\/public-works\/tinker-road\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tinker Road<\/a> in Colleyville will continue through the fall.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s happening<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery said in an Aug. 25 email that the $2.2 million project now has an estimated completion of late October or early November.<\/p>\n<p>According to the city&#8217;s website, the work started the week of Feb. 15 and was slated to be done in six or seven months.<\/p>\n<p>Tinker Road is closed from Ponderosa Road to Caldwell Hughes Road and traffic is only able to travel eastbound in the work zone, according to the city website.<\/p>\n<p>Construction includes installing about 2,570 feet of water lines along Tinker Road and it will also create drainage improvements, according to previous reporting. The work will also include a 5-foot concrete sidewalk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project was initially set in the city\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colleyville.com\/government\/departments-m-z\/public-works\/water-and-wastewater\/water-wastewater-master-plan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2014 Water and Wastewater Master Plan<\/a>. Funding for the reconstruction comes from Colleyville&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colleyville.com\/government\/departments-m-z\/public-works\/capital-improvement-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capital Improvement Program fund<\/a>, among other city resources, according to previous <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/grapevine-colleyville-southlake\/transportation\/2024\/07\/05\/222m-project-on-tinker-road-in-colleyville-to-improve-drainage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reporting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Colleyville City Council <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/grapevine-colleyville-southlake\/government\/2024\/10\/18\/colleyville-approves-209m-contract-for-tinker-road-construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">awarded<\/a> a contract to <a href=\"https:\/\/2rcstx.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2R Construction Services<\/a> during the Oct. 15, 2024, meeting.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&gt;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The construction on Tinker Road in Colleyville will continue through the fall.
