{"id":176474,"date":"2025-08-26T07:52:25","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T07:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/176474\/"},"modified":"2025-08-26T07:52:25","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T07:52:25","slug":"how-oak-cliff-schools-scored-in-dallas-isds-accountability-ratings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/176474\/","title":{"rendered":"How Oak Cliff schools scored in Dallas ISD\u2019s accountability ratings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Ratings-Based-on-Feeders-of-Oak-Cliff-Area-High-Schools.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-87128\" class=\"wp-image-87128 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Ratings-Based-on-Feeders-of-Oak-Cliff-Area-High-Schools.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"940\" height=\"788\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-87128\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Graphic by Victoria Hernandez.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently released the 2025 A-F Accountability Ratings for public school systems and campuses across the state, to provide transparency and accurate information in regard to education.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 ratings were released with the delayed 2024 ratings that have been made available to school systems following the resolution of legal proceedings that prevented their release prior to a July 3 <a href=\"https:\/\/b2161369.smushcdn.com\/2161369\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/tea-lawsuit-2024-15coa-judgment-7-3-25-1.jpg?lossy=2&amp;strip=1&amp;webp=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">judgment<\/a>. These ratings were made public for the first time on Friday, August 15.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tea.texas.gov\/about-tea\/news-and-multimedia\/news-releases\/news-2025\/tea-releases-2025-a-f-accountability-ratings-2024-ratings-now-also-available\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">According to a press release from TEA<\/a>, 1,208 districts and 9,084 campuses were rated for 2025, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasisd.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas ISD<\/a> earning a \u2018B\u2019 rating overall. The district earned a \u2018C\u2019 rating at 79 for the 2023-2024 school year, up from the previously released rating of 76 for the two school years prior, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/txschools.gov\/?view=district&amp;id=057905&amp;tab=performance%7Caccountability&amp;lng=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Change Over Time data<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/soc.dallasisd.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">South Oak Cliff High School<\/a> received a rating of a \u2018B\u2019 with only one point shy of an \u2018A\u2019 rating based on the Texas School Report Card standards. Adamson H.S.<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\">A<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<p>* Life School Oak Cliff serves K-12 students.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of the schools in the neighborhood received a \u2018B\u2019 rating, with only one school a part of the feeder system of Oak Cliff high schools receiving a \u2018F.\u2019 That school, <a href=\"https:\/\/storey.dallasisd.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Boude Storey Middle School<\/a>, continues to operate into the new school year that started this month.<\/p>\n<p>Overall performance details show that <a href=\"https:\/\/txschools.gov\/?view=district&amp;id=057905&amp;tab=performance%7Caccountability&amp;lng=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas ISD is improving<\/a>, growing in the categories of student achievement (which measures students STAAR success, graduation rate and preparedness after high school), school progress (how students perform over time in comparison to other similar districts) and closing the gaps (which shows how well a district is performing in regard to equity among student groups). The student achievement category remained a \u2018C\u2019 only raising three points to 76 and the school progress and closing the gaps categories are in the \u2018B\u2019 rating at 83 and 82 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese results reflect the unwavering commitment of our educators, students, and families. None of this happens without them,\u201d said Superintendent Stephanie S. Elizalde, Ed.D. in an article from <a href=\"https:\/\/thehub.dallasisd.org\/2025\/08\/14\/staar-data-shows-significant-growth-worth-celebrating-district-earns-b-rating\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Hub<\/a>. \u201cWhile there is still work to be done, these results are a clear sign that we are moving in the right direction, and we will not stop until every school is achieving at a high level.
