When police tried to stop him, he took off, going 25 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies say Santiago blew past a stoplight and stop sign before he collided with another vehicle near Peoria Avenue and Third Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office did not say if anyone was hurt in the crash, but they did arrest Santiago and found a gun in his car.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He faces several charges, including felonies for aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies say Santiago was released from custody after his hearing in accordance with the SAFE-T Act.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 KWQC.
