Manhattan, NY<\/strong> According to Silverstein Properties, Clear Street has committed to a 10-plus-year lease extension, as well as an expansion to grow its headquarters to nearly 88,000 s\/f at 4 World Trade Center, the 72-story tower in Lower Manhattan.<\/p>\n Founded in 2018, Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem with financial technology and services that empower market participants to navigate capital markets around the world.<\/p>\n The firm first moved to 4 WTC via a sublease in 2021, before signing a direct lease with Silverstein for the entire 45th floor in 2023. With this extension, Clear Street will keep its headquarters at 4 WTC and expand onto the entire 46th floor.<\/p>\n The 2.3 million s\/f tower is 97% leased. Tenants include Spotify, Zurich American Insurance Co., Duolingo, SNY, and Rippling.<\/p>\n \u201cWe designed and programmed 4 World Trade Center to be among the most advanced office towers in New York City,\u201d said Silverstein Properties senior vice president of commercial leasing Keith Cody. \u201cIn doing so, we have attracted successful companies such as Clear Street that are drawn to 4 WTC\u2019s state-of-the-art infrastructure, open and efficient floorplates, light-filled workspaces and incredible views.\u00a0 We are pleased to accommodate Clear Street\u2019s impressive growth within 4 WTC.\u201d<\/p>\n Jon Daplyn, chief operating officer of Clear Street said, \u201cSince establishing our headquarters here four years ago, the building\u2019s innovative design, spectacular views and proximity to transit have enabled our team to grow and thrive. Silverstein has been a great partner.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cClear Street is excited to continue its great relationship with Silverstein Properties,\u201d said Bobrow & Company vice president Josh Berger. \u201cThe expanded footprint at 4 World Trade Center aligns with its continued growth in New York City and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n Working with Pritzker-prize winning architect Fumihiko Maki, Silverstein Properties designed 4 WTC\u2019s steel structure, column-free corners and 80-ft. perimeter column spans to enhance flexibility, increase natural light, and offer views from every window.<\/p>\n The tower enlivens and seamlessly integrates into Downtown Manhattan\u2019s streetscape, with a major concentration of retail at both street-level and in the underground pedestrian concourse that leads directly to 12 subway lines and the PATH train.\u00a0 Retailers at 4 WTC include Eataly, Banana Republic and H&M.<\/p>\n Silverstein Properties was represented in-house by Cody and Gordon Hough.
