The launch makes Vivo the first smartphone brand in China to enter the MR space. <\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Much like the Apple Vision Pro, the Vivo Vision features a <b>curved glass visor<\/b>, an <b>external battery pack<\/b> and <b>downward-pointing cameras<\/b>. However, Vivo goes a step further with more removable fabric light seals (four sizes versus one customised to your face from Apple) and foam padding options (eight versus Apple\u2019s two). <\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Though the Vivo Vision and Apple Vision Pro both use <b>dual 8K micro-OLED displays<\/b>, the Vivo Vision\u2019s displays have a <b>higher resolution<\/b> of 3840 x 3552 pixels. Colour reproduction is also better with the Vivo Vision covering <b>94% of the DCI-P3 gamut<\/b>, slightly higher than the Vision Pro\u2019s 92%. <\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Vivo also takes aim at the Vision Pro\u2019s bulky form factor. The company claims its Vision headset is \u201c26% smaller than the industry average, improving overall comfort\u201d \u2013 the Vision is significantly lighter at <b>398g<\/b>, well below the 650g Vision Pro, which <a class=\"_externalLinks_17ndg_78\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hardwarezone.com.sg\/lifestyle\/home\/tech-news-apple-vision-pro-owners-regret-disappointment-wsj-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">early adopters criticised for causing neck strain and discomfort<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">On the software aspect, the Vivo Vision runs on the company\u2019s proprietary <b>OriginOS Vision<\/b> which offers an <b>ultra-low latency of 13ms<\/b>. The OriginOS Vision supports <b>intuitive finger gestures<\/b>, enabled by the device\u2019s 1.5\u00b0 high-precision eye-tracking technology which is capable of 26\u00b0 of freedom in fingertip gesture recognition and a vertical tracking range of 175\u00b0. <\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">The OriginOS Vision also supports <b>3D video recordings<\/b>, <b>spatial photos<\/b>, <b>spatial audio<\/b> and can even generate a 120-foot theatre screen for media entertainment. Under the hood of the Vivo Vision is the <b>Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 platform, <\/b><a class=\"_externalLinks_17ndg_78\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hardwarezone.com.sg\/mobile\/wearables\/tech-news-qualcomm-snapdragon-xr2-gen2-mixed-reality-chipset\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">first introduced in January 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Availability and pricing<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">The Vivo Vision headset is currently only available in China.
