The NASCAR Cup Series recently ran their first ever race in Mexico. During the event, spotter Tab Boyd was hustled out of money outside of his hotel.<\/p>\n
He took to social media to tell his story. After the event, he was fired by Hyak Motorsports.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m ready to go home, screw this place, people can talk it up all they want,\u201d Tab Boyd stated from his now deleted account.<\/p>\n

NASCAR spotter fired after comments on the Mexico City race<\/a><\/p>\n Boyd was the spotter for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Last week at Pocono Raceway, Clayton Hughes served as the replacement spotter on the No. 47 car.<\/p>\n Now, heading into this weekend, Boyd has a new job. He\u2019ll serve as the spotter for Chirstopher Bell in the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing entry. <\/p>\n Boyd has been signed as the spotter starting this weekend in Atlanta. He expected to remain as the spotter going forward. <\/p>\n Bell has collected 12 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series. That includes three in 2025. <\/p>\n NASCAR Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar was also reprimanded for comments on the race in Mexico City.
