They join newly-announced performers Jelly Roll<\/a>, Doja Cat<\/a>, and Post Malone<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tGray will perform \u201cVodka Cranberry\u201d from his recently released fourth studio album Wishbone<\/a> for his first appearance on the show since 2022, when he performed \u201cDisaster\u201d and \u201cMemories\u201d on the Extended Play stage. <\/p>\n \n\tMcRae\u2019s choreography-forward performance style is what the VMAs are all about, or used to be, at least. The singer released her third studio album, So Close to What, <\/a>earlier this year, led by the single \u201cSports Car.\u201d She also found success with singles \u201cRevolving Door\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s Ok I\u2019m Ok,\u201d giving her a few options for her debut on the awards show.<\/p>\n \n\tDoja Cat\u2019s return comes as she launches into her upcoming fifth studio album, Vie, out Sept. 26. The rapper and singer recently shared the \u201980s-tinged record \u201cJealous Type,\u201d <\/a>produced by Jack Antonoff and Y2K.
