{"id":17857,"date":"2025-06-27T02:06:23","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T02:06:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/17857\/"},"modified":"2025-06-27T02:06:23","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T02:06:23","slug":"rasheer-fleming-picked-by-wolves-for-suns-in-2025-nba-draft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/17857\/","title":{"rendered":"Rasheer Fleming picked by Wolves for Suns in 2025 NBA Draft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Phoenix Suns traded up to the 31st slot in the NBA Draft to select St. Joe\u2019s forward Rasheer Fleming, ticking another box of positional needs.<\/p>\n<p>The Suns received the No. 31 pick from the Timberwolves for the No. 36 selection and two second-round picks <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonasports.com\/nba\/phoenix-suns\/draft-trade-2nd-round\/3588350\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">earlier on Thursday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In three years at St. Joe\u2019s, Fleming gradually improved each season, setting career highs in 2024-25 with averages of 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.4 steals per game.<\/p>\n<p>Fleming measured out well at the NBA Draft Combine at 6-foot-8 without shoes and 232 pounds. He was tied for the fourth-widest wingspan in this year\u2019s class at 7-foot-5.25, adding to the potential for Fleming to play as a small-ball center.<\/p>\n<p>The big man scored with efficiency, shooting 53% overall and 39% from 3 while taking a relatively high volume (4.5 attempts per game).<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix added Fleming after maneuvering to add to their pick stash on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix Suns trade up three times to help acquire Rasheer Fleming<\/p>\n<p>Hours before the second round began, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/1938321698396508309\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania reported<\/a>\u00a0that Phoenix and first-year general manager Brian Gregory traded two future second-rounders to the Brooklyn Nets for the 36th pick. HoopsHype\u2019s Michael Scotto reports the Suns are sending a 2026 pick that has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/basketball.realgm.com\/nba\/draft\/future_drafts\/detailed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">multiple parts and is to-be-determined<\/a>, plus a 2030 second-round pick that originates from the Boston Celtics.<\/p>\n<p>Later on Thursday, the Suns moved up again, two more times. The Suns sent the No. 36 pick they acquired from the Nets and two future second-rounders to the Timberwolves for the No. 31 pick.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate deal with the Golden State Warriors, the Suns received the 41st pick for the Nos. 52 and 59 picks.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona Sports\u2019\u00a0John Gambadoro confirmed the initial reports from Charania.
