Katie Hobbs said in the announcement. “It’s a great time to upgrade your home and take advantage of the financial incentives while they are still available. I will continue to advance Arizona’s clean energy economy and fight for solutions that lower energy costs for Arizonans.”

What are the expiring energy tax credits?

The key incentives highlighted by the Governor’s Office of Resiliency include:

The electric vehicle tax credits which credits up to $7,500 for new electric vehicle and $4,000 for used ones. The credit has a deadline of Sept. 30 for the vehicle to be purchased and delivered.

The residential clean energy credit which provides a 30% tax credit for clean energy systems, such as solar, wind and geothermal heat pumps. The deadline for the credit is Dec. 31.

The energy efficient home improvement credit which credits up to $3,200 for home upgrades like insulation, new windows and heat pumps. The deadline for the credit is also Dec. 31.

A list of other expiring tax credits can be found on the Arizona Clean Energy Hub website.

“Navigating all the funding opportunities can be overwhelming,” Director of the Governor’s Office of Resiliency Maren Mahoney said. “That’s why the Governor’s Office of Resiliency created the Arizona Clean Energy Hub so Arizonans are aware of ways they can save money, improve the comfort and efficiency of their homes and businesses, and reduce emissions.”

We want to hear from you.

Have a story idea or tip?
