Read Streetsblog&#8217;s &#8220;take&#8221; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/nyc.streetsblog.org\/2025\/08\/26\/city-hall-pauses-upper-west-side-smart-curb-parking-reforms-amid-predictable-driver-backlash\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mastro&#8217;s street improvement project body count \u2014 or, more specifically, the mayor&#8217;s project body count since Mastro joined the administration \u2014 now includes <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/nyc.streetsblog.org\/2025\/08\/06\/squeezed-welcome-to-the-newly-unsafe-bedford-avenue-bike-lane\" target=\"_blank\">three blocks of Bedford Avenue&#8217;s protected bike lane<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/nyc.streetsblog.org\/2025\/08\/18\/red-light-tremont-ave-busway-is-the-latest-project-stalled-by-city-hall\" target=\"_blank\">the proposed Tremont Avenue busway<\/a> and the &#8220;smart curbs&#8221; pilot. (City Hall reportedly also put the kibosh on the 34th Street busway until City Council members <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/nyc.streetsblog.org\/2025\/08\/06\/its-back-34th-street-busway-revived-in-midtown-rezoning-deal\" target=\"_blank\">intervened<\/a>.
