At that point, a car sped forward and struck one of the girls.

Police say the girl was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

“It was very scary, very traumatic for the girl that got hit, obviously. The other girls are very traumatized by it, too. To see something like that happen is just awful,” said Cliff Thomas, the stepfather of one of the victim’s friends. “So our concern is that we need witnesses to come forward to get whoever did this arrested.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, SDPD said that the case had been directed to the Community and Youth Services division and that the driver is not in custody.

San Diego police are investigating a hit-and-run involving a 17-year-old girl in the Torrey Pines area last week.…

[5134
5229,1582,276,3549,7264,29430,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-178928","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-diego","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-ca","10":"tag-california","11":"tag-san-diego","12":"tag-sandiego","13":"tag-torrey-pines","14":"tag-united-states","15":"tag-united-states-of-america","16":"tag-unitedstates","17":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","18":"tag-us","19":"tag-usa
["GET
