It regularly hosted meet-up events like candle-making, comedy night, karaoke and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Co-owner Lauren Badgett <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DNCXSfqRICK\/\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DNCXSfqRICK\/\" target=\"_blank\">wrote on social media<\/a> that the closure \u201cis not a farewell \u2014 it\u2019s a celebration of bubbles, community, art and great memories.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The Coupe was at 314 S. Main St., Fort Worth. The shop near McKinney Avenue was Cru\u2019s first location, and it was a \u201cmagnet for moviegoers\u201d headed next-door to the Magnolia art house cinema, The Dallas Morning News declared in 2002.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cThis wine bar understands the principles of sipping and supping,\u201d wrote our critic a few months after its opening. The wine bar went on to expand across Texas, to locations in Plano, Fort Worth, Austin and more, as well as to Georgia and North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Inside of 20 years, West Village has seen the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2021\/07\/21\/after-nearly-20-years-in-dallas-west-village-mi-cocina-will-close-and-relocate\/\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2021\/07\/21\/after-nearly-20-years-in-dallas-west-village-mi-cocina-will-close-and-relocate\/\" target=\"_blank\">exits of longtime anchors like Mi Cocina<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2021\/09\/01\/taco-diner-closes-sept-1-in-west-village-but-ceo-says-we-havent-given-up-on-the-brand\/\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2021\/09\/01\/taco-diner-closes-sept-1-in-west-village-but-ceo-says-we-havent-given-up-on-the-brand\/\" target=\"_blank\">and Taco Diner<\/a> while new restaurants moved in. It\u2019s now his only restaurant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Evan\u2019s Meat Market is at 4266 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas. The restaurant moved into the LGBT-friendly neighborhood and hosted events galore: drag brunches, ladies\u2019 nights, taco Tuesday, karaoke and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2023\/05\/17\/drag-show-restaurant-hamburger-marys-to-open-in-dallas\/\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2023\/05\/17\/drag-show-restaurant-hamburger-marys-to-open-in-dallas\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hamburger Mary\u2019s hails from San Francisco<\/a>, where the original opened in 1972. Other locations still exist in Las Vegas, Kansas City, Chicago and more, though the Dallas restaurant was the only one in Texas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Co-owner Donald Smith told the Voice his team \u201ctried to make it work, but we just couldn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Hamburger Mary\u2019s was at 4123 Cedar Springs Road, Dallas. The West Dallas restaurant closed in summer 2025, after moving to the neighborhood in November 2023. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2022\/10\/20\/henrys-majestic-in-uptown-is-closing-for-now\/\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2022\/10\/20\/henrys-majestic-in-uptown-is-closing-for-now\/\" target=\"_blank\">Henry\u2019s Majestic had previously been in Uptown Dallas<\/a>, but the bar and brunch spot was forced to close near McKinney Avenue so the building could be razed and replaced with a high-rise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">In its newer digs, Henry\u2019s Majestic was more of a patio bar. Think Katy Trail Ice House, but vintage. Owner Andrew Popp outfitted the former Chicken Scratch and the Foundry (and before that, the famous Jack\u2019s Backyard) with wooden chairs circled around fire pits. A re-used shipping container was the makeshift outdoor bar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">It\u2019s not clear why the restaurant and backyard bar closed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cWe are open to the idea of returning,\u201d the website says, but no plans have been made.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Henry\u2019s Majestic was at 2303 Pittman St., Dallas. In mid-August 2025, a sign on the door said it was shuttered \u201cdue to an electrical problem.\u201d The restaurant is now marked \u201cpermanently closed\u201d on Google, and reservations are no longer available online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">This address on Lowest Greenville was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2021\/06\/14\/inside-new-dallas-greenville-avenue-restaurant-carte-blanche-and-its-12-course-tasting-menu\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2021\/06\/14\/inside-new-dallas-greenville-avenue-restaurant-carte-blanche-and-its-12-course-tasting-menu\/\">formerly Carte Blanche<\/a>. It closed July 19, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>White Rhino Coffee in Garland<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2023\/10\/04\/white-rhino-10-coffee-shops-dallas-fort-worth\/\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2023\/10\/04\/white-rhino-10-coffee-shops-dallas-fort-worth\/\" target=\"_blank\">One of Dallas\u2019 fastest-growing local coffee companies<\/a>, White Rhino, has closed its shop in Garland as of July 31, 2025. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The restaurant started in Cedar Hill in 2007 but got a jolt of caffeine in 2018, when co-founder Chris Parvin expanded it to 10 locations in the next five years. Parvin recently stepped down, and Sara Escamilla was named president and CEO.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Customers at the Garland coffee shop weren\u2019t given a reason for the closure, CultureMap <a href=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/white-rhino-garland-closed\/\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/white-rhino-garland-closed\/\" target=\"_blank\">noted<\/a>. \u201cThank you for every cup shared, every conversation sparked and every bit of community you brought through our doors,\u201d said a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=1052529513659171&amp;set=pcb.1052583256987130\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=1052529513659171&amp;set=pcb.1052583256987130\" target=\"_blank\">note posted inside the shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">White Rhino was at 5235 N.
