DYING WISH \u2013 \u201cREVENGE IN CARNAGE\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Portland metalcore band Dying Wish are at their darkest on the latest single from Flesh Stays Together<\/a>.<\/p>\n

FANCLUBWALLET \u2013 \u201cNEW DISTRACTION\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hannah Judge announced her sophomore album as fanclubwallet, Living While Dying, due out October 24 via Lauren Records. About new single \u201cNew Distraction,\u201d she says, \u201c\u2018Cmon, I\u2019m waiting, for some kind of new distraction\u2019 was a mantra circling my brain these last couple years. This song came out of nowhere for me, though. I was too anxious to write a solo guitar lick for this but the band encouraged me, and it became one of my favourite parts. It reminds me of a Coldplay B-Side.\u201d<\/p>\n

MANEKA \u2013 \u201cSHALLOWING\u201d & \u201cDIMELO\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Former Speedy Ortiz guitarist Devin McKnight\u2019s project Maneka has announced a new album, Bathes and Listens, due October 29 via Topshelf. If you dig grungy, \u201990s-style indie rock, don\u2019t miss these two new singles.<\/p>\n

OLIVER SIM \u2013 \u201cOBSESSION\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oliver Sim of The xx has shared his first new music since his 2022 album Hideous Bastard. \u201cObsession\u201d was produced by Bullion and Taylor Skye, and Sim stars alongside Erin O\u2019Connor in the video, directed by Sharna Osborne.<\/p>\n

FIME \u2013 \u201cBURNING THE CANDLE\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Fime\u2019s new album Just Can\u2019t Win drops next week (9\/5) via Mallard Records, and new single \u201cBurning the Candle\u201d is a sweetly melodic alt-rock song that\u2019ll take you right back to the genre\u2019s \u201990s heyday.<\/p>\n

PATRICK WATSON \u2013 \u201cHOUSE ON FIRE\u201d FT. MARTHA WAINWRIGHT<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018House on Fire\u2019 is a track that I\u2019m very proud of because for years I had watched Martha Wainwright sing and was always in such a force and power,\u201d Patrick Watson says. \u201cI\u2019m such a soft singer that I was so inspired to be able to sing beside her and her strength. It was a real experience to work with Martha and one I\u2019ll never forget.\u201d It\u2019s from his new collaboration album Uh Oh, due out on September 26 via Secret City Records.<\/p>\n

BELIEVE IN NOTHING \u2013 \u201cGUT\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

UK sludgy noise rockers Believe In Nothing will release their Rot LP on October 31 via Church Road Records, and lead single \u201cGut\u201d is out now. Fans of The Jesus Lizard, Chat Pile, Melvins, etc, take note.<\/p>\n

HANNAH JADAGU \u2013 \u201cDOING NOW\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hannah Jadagu annonced a new album, Describe<\/a>, due out on October 24 via Sub Pop. It includes her June single \u201cMy Love\u201d<\/a>, and she\u2019s shared another single, \u201cDoing Now.\u201d<\/p>\n

DEERHOOF \u2013 \u201cTHE PERFECT ME\u201d (THIS IS LORELEI REMIX)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deerhoof\u2019s ninth album, Friend Opportunity, is getting its first-ever vinyl pressing on November 7 and it comes with a flex 7\u2033 featuring a This is Lorelei remix of \u201cThe Perfect Me.\u201d Says TIL\u2019s Nate Amos, \u201cWhat a joy and what a privilege to get to remix one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists.\u201d<\/p>\n

DIE SPITZ \u2013 \u201cPUNISHERS\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die Spitz have shared another track from their new album Something to Consume<\/a>. \u201c\u2018Punishers\u2019 is about things or people who \u2018punish,’\u201d Chloe De St. Aubin says. \u201cWhether it\u2019s withholding love, jealousy, or keeping someone or even yourself hooked in a cycle\u2014the song captures the feelings of insanity and frustration punishers bring.\u201d<\/p>\n

SHARP PINS \u2013 \u201cI WANNA BE YOUR GIRL\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kai Slater is back with a new Sharp Pins album, Balloon Balloon Balloon, which is out November 21 via K Records. Fans of Guided by Voices and low-fi Beatlesque pop will dig \u201cI Wanna Be Your Girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

MARUJA \u2013 \u201cTRENCHES\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester experimental art-punk group Maruja have shared another song from their upcoming debut album Pain to Power<\/a>. The band call it \u201ca reminder to the listener that they are not what this culture teaches. They are, in fact, powerful beyond measure and when they believe in themselves, can make a difference. The song is a call for revolution in the face of the oppressive.\u201d<\/p>\n
