Canadian romance author Carley Fortune has announced that her fifth novel, Our Perfect Storm, will be published on May 5, 2026.<\/p>\n

The novel centres around best friends Frankie\u00a0and George. When Frankie is dumped on the morning of her wedding,\u00a0George convinces her to take him on her Vancouver Island honeymoon instead.<\/p>\n

Frankie and George have been close since they were eight years old, but their tempers tend to get\u00a0in the way. This trip to Tofino is a chance to repair\u00a0that \u2014\u00a0and keep Frankie from wallowing. But the more time they spend together, the more they realize that something might have been brewing between them all along.<\/p>\n

The cover for Our Perfect Storm was revealed on the television program\u00a0Good Morning America Aug. 27.<\/p>\n

The title will be the first of the\u00a0No. 1 New York Times bestselling author’s books\u00a0to\u00a0be published in hardcover.<\/p>\n

Fortune\u00a0<\/strong>is a Toronto-based writer and journalist who has worked as an editor for Refinery29, The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine and Toronto Life. Her previous books are One Golden Summe<\/a>r,\u00a0Every Summer After<\/a>,\u00a0This Summer Will Be Different<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Meet Me at the Lake<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this summer, the cast of\u00a0Every Year After, the television adaptation of Fortune’s bestselling novel\u00a0Every Summer After<\/a>\u00a0was\u00a0announced.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The dual-timeline\u00a0Every Summer After<\/a>\u00a0follows\u00a0Percy and Sam, two childhood friends whose close bond was shattered by a fateful moment that forced them apart \u2014 and the complicated love story that unfolds when they’re reunited years later at a funeral. The book is set in Ontario cottage country.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
