When Frankie is dumped on the morning of her wedding,\u00a0George convinces her to take him on her Vancouver Island honeymoon instead.<\/p>\n<p>Frankie and George have been close since they were eight years old, but their tempers tend to get\u00a0in the way. This trip to Tofino is a chance to repair\u00a0that \u2014\u00a0and keep Frankie from wallowing. But the more time they spend together, the more they realize that something might have been brewing between them all along.<\/p>\n<p>The cover for Our Perfect Storm was revealed on the television program\u00a0Good Morning America Aug. 27.<\/p>\n<p>The title will be the first of the\u00a0No. 1 New York Times bestselling author&#8217;s books\u00a0to\u00a0be published in hardcover.<\/p>\n<p>Fortune<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is a Toronto-based writer and journalist who has worked as an editor for Refinery29, The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine and Toronto Life. In\u00a02024, it was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/books\/canadareads\/mirian-njoh-is-bringing-romance-to-canada-reads-with-carley-fortune-s-meet-me-at-the-lake-1.7072542\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">championed by Mirian Njoh<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this summer, the cast of\u00a0Every Year After, the television adaptation of Fortune&#8217;s bestselling novel\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/books\/every-summer-after-1.6464929\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Every Summer After<\/a>\u00a0was\u00a0announced.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The dual-timeline\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/books\/every-summer-after-1.6464929\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Every Summer After<\/a>\u00a0follows\u00a0Percy and Sam, two childhood friends whose close bond was shattered by a fateful moment that forced them apart \u2014 and the complicated love story that unfolds when they&#8217;re reunited years later at a funeral.
