\n\tBon Jovi<\/a> is taking a second look at its 2024 Forever album with help from some famous friends.<\/p>\n

\n\tIsland Records will issue Forever (Legendary Edition) on Oct. 24 reimaged as a collaborations album with band duetting with Bruce Springsteen<\/a>, Robbie Williams, Lainey Wilson<\/a>, Def Leppard\u2019s Joe Elliott, Jelly Roll <\/a>and more.<\/p>\n

\n\tBon Jovi and Springsteen\u2019s version of the album\u2019s \u201cHollow Man\u201d comes out Friday (Aug. 29), as does new song, \u201cRed, White and Jersey.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe original album debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 last June and No. 1 on Billboard\u2019s Top Album Sales Chart, with single \u201cLegendary\u201d reaching No. 9 on the Adult Contemporary chart. The album dropped off the Billboard 200 after one week.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a statement, Jon Bon Jovi said the band decided to revisit the album because, in part, he felt the album\u2019s cycle was hampered by the inability to tour and properly promote the set because of his vocal cord surgery.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis album is more than just a collection of collaborations, it is an album borne out of necessity.\u00a0My vocal cord surgery and subsequent rehab was a well-documented journey that played out while releasing\u00a0Forever in June 2024,\u201d the statement read. \u201cWithout the ability to tour or promote\u00a0an album we were all very proud of, I decided\u00a0to call on some friends to help me in my\u00a0time of need. All are great singers, artists, and also just great people. The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit \u2014 a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends.\u00a0 I feel tremendous joy and gratitude releasing this album and I think it shows in the music.\u00a0 I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that\u2019s WE.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA number of the artists, including Springsteen, Jelly Roll, Wilson, Jason Isbell and The War & Treaty, helped honor Jon Bon Jovi when he was feted as MusiCares Person of the Year<\/a> in February 2024.<\/p>\n
