{"id":183467,"date":"2025-08-29T00:47:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T00:47:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/183467\/"},"modified":"2025-08-29T00:47:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T00:47:12","slug":"nikkei-225-kospi-csi-300-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/183467\/","title":{"rendered":"Nikkei 225, Kospi, CSI 300"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Seoul skyline.<\/p>\n<p>Mongkol Chuewong | Moment | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed on Friday, breaking ranks from Wall Street gains as investors also assess a slate of economic data in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.N225\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nikkei 225<\/a>\u00a0slid 0.31%, while the Topix lost 0.39% after core consumer prices in Tokyo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stat.go.jp\/english\/data\/cpi\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">rose at a slower pace in August<\/a>. The Tokyo core CPI, which strips out fresh food but includes energy, climbed 2.5% from a year earlier, matching Reuters&#8217; economists&#8217; forecasts, and easing from July&#8217;s 2.9% increase. The figure however remained above the Bank of Japan&#8217;s 2% target.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stat.go.jp\/english\/data\/roudou\/results\/month\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">unemployment rate<\/a> also eased to 2.3% in July, down from 2.5% the previous month.<\/p>\n<p>South Korea&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.KS11\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kospi<\/a> rose 0.31% while the Kosdaq Index climbed 0.76%.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.AXJO\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S&amp;P\/ASX 200<\/a> inched 0.11% higher.<\/p>\n<p>Futures for Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.HSI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hang Seng index<\/a>\u00a0stood at 25,104, pointing to a higher open compared to the HSI&#8217;s last close of 24,998.82.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight stateside, the three major averages closed higher. The broad market\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.SPX\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S&amp;P 500<\/a> index finished 0.32% higher at 6,501.86 after hitting a new all-time intraday high above the 6,500 level. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.IXIC\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nasdaq Composite<\/a>\u00a0ended the day up 0.53% at 21,705.16, while the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.DJI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dow Jones Industrial Average<\/a>\u00a0rose 71.67 points, or 0.16% to end at 45,636.90, which was also a record.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CNBC&#8217;s Sean Conlon contributed to this report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Seoul skyline.
