After all 59 picks were made in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns moved quickly in agreeing to a two-way contract with Appalachian State forward CJ Huntley, ESPN\u2019s Jonathan Givony first reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Two-way players can be active for their NBA clubs in up to 50 regular season games and can play for G League affiliates otherwise.<\/p>\n

Huntley played 153 games over five seasons at App State, starting every game for the Mountaineers last season. It was the first time he\u2019s started every game over the course of a season.<\/p>\n

He averaged career-highs 15.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists. He can stretch the floor a bit, hitting 35.6% of his 3.8 3-point attempts per game in 2024-25.<\/p>\n

Huntley, who measured in at 6-foot-10 with shoes with a 7-foot-4.5 wingspan at 223 pounds, completed a workout with the Suns on June 2, according to his former college program<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He garnered more attention from NBA teams after a strong performance at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament<\/a>, where he averaged 12 points, 7.3 rebounds and one block per game over three contests against other players trying to make an impression.<\/p>\n

Huntley adds to a draft cycle filled with frontcourt additions for Phoenix, with Khaman Maluach and Mark Williams<\/a> acquired on Wednesday before Rasheer Fleming<\/a> joined the fold at the top of the second round on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Huntley was the first reported two-way player added for the Suns after TyTy Washington Jr., Jalen Bridges and Collin Gillespie were Phoenix\u2019s three two-way players in 2024-25.<\/p>\n
