Attempts to reach him for comment on Friday morning were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The circumstances of the arrest were not immediately clear. He is currently assigned to the city\u2019s Southeast Patrol Division, which spans parts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/south-dallas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/south-dallas\/\">South Dallas<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/oak-cliff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/oak-cliff\/\">Oak Cliff<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/pleasant-grove\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/pleasant-grove\/\">Pleasant Grove<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Update: 12:58 Aug. 29, 2025: This story updated with additional comment.
