Just months after winning The National High School Musical Theatre Awards (a.k.a.\u00a0the Jimmy Awards),\u00a0Fabiola Caraballo Quijada will step into the title role of the North American tour of\u00a0& Juliet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Caraballo Quijada\u2014fresh from graduating Texas’\u00a0Tyler Legacy High School, where she was a three-time Jimmy Award nominee\u2014and the year two\u00a0& Juliet\u00a0company will\u00a0officially
\nbegin performances in Sacramento, California,\u00a0September 23. Complete
\ncasting for year two will be announced early this fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

& Juliet is currently playing Los Angeles\u2019 Ahmanson Theatre through September 7.\u00a0Following its Southern California engagements in L.A.\u00a0and Costa Mesa (September 9\u201321 at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts), the tour will go on to visit more than 40 cities in its second year, including Miami, San Antonio, Montreal, Indianapolis, San Diego, Austin, and the tour\u2019s return to\u00a0Chicago.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The North American tour of the Tony-nominated musical & Juliet\u00a0launched September 22, 2024,\u00a0at Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre starring Rachel Simone Webb.<\/p>\n

The hit musical flips
\n the script on the William Shakespeare classic, imagining what would
\nhappen next if Juliet hadn\u2019t ended it all over Romeo. <\/p>\n

Featuring a book by David West Read<\/a>, the score includes a
\nmix of tunes by Max Martin and more, including \u201cSince U Been Gone,\u201d
\n\u201cRoar,\u201d \u201cI Want It That Way,\u201d and \u201cConfident.\u201d<\/p>\n

The production also has direction by Luke Sheppard<\/a>,
\nchoreography by Jennifer Weber<\/a>, musical supervision, orchestrations, and
\n arrangements by Bill Sherman<\/a>, scenic design by Soutra Gilmour<\/a>, costume
\ndesign by Paloma Young<\/a>, lighting design by Howard Hudson<\/a>, sound design
\nby Gareth Owen<\/a>, video projection design by Andrzej Goulding<\/a>, hair, wig,
\nand makeup design by J. Jared Janas<\/a>, and musical direction by Andre Cerullo.<\/p>\n

The Broadway production, which continues at the Stephen
\nSondheim Theatre, was nominated for nine 2023 Tony Awards, including
\nBest Musical.<\/p>\n

U.S. casting is by Stephen Kopel<\/a>,\u00a0Carrie Gardner<\/a>, and Jillian Cimini<\/a>. & Juliet is executive-produced on Broadway and on tour\u00a0by Eva Price<\/a>.<\/p>\n
