PHOENIX \u2014 A man died after an early morning collision in Phoenix on Thursday, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to the area of 31st and Southern avenues<\/a> around 3:12 a.m. to find two injured men, the Phoenix Police Department announced on Friday.<\/p>\n

First responders brought one of the men, 28-year-old Jose Gallegos, to a hospital for treatment, but he died of his injuries, police said.<\/p>\n

The other wounded man was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment for injuries police described as not life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe the crash occurred after Gallegos was driving southbound on 31st Avenue.<\/p>\n

Gallegos allegedly didn\u2019t stop for a stop sign at Southern Avenue, which led to the collision, according to Phoenix police.<\/p>\n

Impairment is not believed to have played a role in this fatal car crash.<\/p>\n

No further details were released as this is an ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n
