\n\tThe Killers<\/a> will serve as replacement headliners at the Austin City Limits Festival<\/a> in October after Doja Cat<\/a> dropped off the lineup on Friday.<\/p>\n \n\tThe singer, who was scheduled to lead the Sunday lineups on October 5 and 12 at the long-running Texas fest, announced on social media<\/a> Friday that new album and promotional duties tied to her upcoming LP Vie<\/a> made preparing for the gigs too difficult. (Vie is due out September 26, one week before what would have been her first weekend at ACL.)<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cUnfortunately, I will not be performing at Austin City Limits this year,\u201d Doja Cat wrote. \u201cWhen I made the commitment I didn\u2019t know exactly when Vie would be released. I\u2019ve been working on finalizing the album, making videos, taking the time to put together an album campaign that I am really excited about, and it\u2019s become clear to me that I cannot give you guys the show you deserve within this time frame.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe singer added, \u201cThank you to the ACL team for their support and I hope to see you all again soon when the time is right.
