JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WICS) \u2014 A local teenager is set to represent Illinois at the upcoming Miss America’s Teen pageant. Lillie Brown, a 16-year-old from Jacksonville, will travel to Orlando, Florida, on Sunday to compete in the event.<\/p>\n
Brown is passionate about community service and is dedicated to keeping kids safe online through cyberbullying prevention and building digital confidence. <\/p>\n
“I was actually in Tennessee just yesterday finishing up some final prep for this pageant, because I want to make sure I’m putting my best self on that Miss America’s Teen stage,” said Brown.<\/p>\n
The competition will take place at the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and will run from August 31 to September 6.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"JACKSONVILLE, Ill.
