{"id":185532,"date":"2025-08-29T20:58:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T20:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/185532\/"},"modified":"2025-08-29T20:58:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T20:58:09","slug":"high-speed-collision-on-u-s-highway-57-leaves-one-dead-police-investigating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/185532\/","title":{"rendered":"High speed collision on U.S. Highway 57 leaves one dead, police investigating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LA PRYOR, Texas &#8211; A major crash along U.S. Highway 57 has left one driver dead.<\/p>\n<p>Around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, State Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were called to the scene of the major collision near mile marker 424.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators say that the driver of a black 2024 Hyundai Sonata, traveling westbound, crossed over the yellow center line and collided head-on with a grey 2024 Ford F-150 heading eastbound.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Hyundai, identified as 25-year-old Omar Tarid of Richmond, Texas, was seriously injured in the crash and was rushed to University Hospital in San Antonio, where he was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Ford pickup has not been publicly identified, and DPS has not released information regarding that driver&#8217;s condition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"LA PRYOR, Texas &#8211; A major crash along U.S. Highway 57 has left one driver dead.
