{"id":185608,"date":"2025-08-29T21:38:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T21:38:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/185608\/"},"modified":"2025-08-29T21:38:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T21:38:12","slug":"paul-mccartney-doc-man-on-the-run-acquired-by-amazon-mgm-sets-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/185608\/","title":{"rendered":"Paul McCartney Doc \u2018Man on the Run\u2019 Acquired By Amazon MGM, Sets Release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAmazon MGM Studios has acquired <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/man-on-the-run\/\" id=\"auto-tag_man-on-the-run\" data-tag=\"man-on-the-run\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Man on the Run<\/a>, described as \u201can intimate feature documentary exploring <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/paul-mccartney\/\" id=\"auto-tag_paul-mccartney\" data-tag=\"paul-mccartney\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul McCartney<\/a>\u2019s creative rebirth after The Beatles\u2019 breakup.\u201d Academy Award winner <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/morgan-neville\/\" id=\"auto-tag_morgan-neville\" data-tag=\"morgan-neville\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Morgan Neville<\/a> (20 Feet from Stardom) directs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe documentary, which will premiere this weekend at the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/telluride\/\" id=\"auto-tag_telluride\" data-tag=\"telluride\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telluride<\/a> Film Festival, is the centerpiece of what Amazon MGM calls \u201ca comprehensive new partnership among Paul McCartney, Universal Music Group, and Amazon that will unfold over the next year.\u201d In addition to the doc, the partnership will include the release of exclusive music and merchandise from Amazon Music, and commentary from McCartney himself. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe partnership coincides with the release of the former Beatles\/Wings icon\u2019s book Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run, which will be available on Amazon and Audible November 4, and McCartney\u2019s <a data-id=\"1236453856\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/paul-mccartney-north-american-tour-1236453856\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Got Back<\/a> tour dates across North America this fall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMan on the Run, which is produced by Tremolo in association with MPL and Polygram Entertainment, will be released in select theaters and subsequently available on Prime Video February 25 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe doc\u2018s synopsis: \u201cMan on the Run\u00a0takes viewers on an intimate journey through Paul McCartney\u2019s extraordinary life following the breakup of The Beatles and the formation of Wings with his wife, Linda.\u00a0From Academy Award-winning director Morgan Neville, the film chronicles the arc of McCartney\u2019s solo career as he faces down a myriad of challenges while creating new music to define a new decade.\u00a0Through unprecedented access to previously unseen footage and rare archival materials, the documentary captures Paul\u2019s transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tProducers include Morgan Neville, Chloe Simmons, and Meghan Walsh for Tremolo; Scott Rodger and Ben Chappell for MPL; and Michele Anthony and David Blackman for Polygram Entertainment.
