The Minnesota Lynx have played brilliantly to start the 2025 WNBA season. If the season continues to play out as it has so far, the Lynx \u2014 12-1 at press time \u2014 will have a season to remember.<\/p>\n

Minnesota took another step towards that season to remember with an 82-66 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks Saturday, June 21, at Target Center.<\/p>\n

The players<\/strong><\/p>\n

Napheesa Collier<\/strong>, 6\u20191\u201d guard\/forward, University of Connecticut. One of the league\u2019s top players, she is averaging 24.4 points per game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kayla McBride<\/strong>, 5\u201911\u201d guard\/forward, University of Notre Dame. The three-point sharpshooter is averaging 16.1 points per game.<\/p>\n

Courthey Williams<\/strong>, 5\u20198\u201d point guard, University of South Florida. Her court savvy and outstanding play on defense is in addition to a 13.4 points per game average.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alanna Smith<\/strong>, 6\u20194\u201d center, Stanford University. She\u2019s contributing 9.8 points per game as an inside force.<\/p>\n

Natisha Hiedeman<\/strong>, 5\u20198\u201d point guard, Marquette University. She\u2019s chipping in 8.9 points per game in addition to outstanding backcourt play.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jessica Shephard<\/strong>, 6\u20194\u201d center, University of Notre Dame. Averaging 7.6 points per game goes along with her rebounding on both ends.<\/p>\n

Bridget Carleton<\/strong>, 6\u20192\u201d forward, Iowa State University. She\u2019s contributing 6.4 points per game with her outside shooting.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Maria Kliundikova<\/strong>, 6\u20194\u201d center, Dynamo Kursk\/Russia. She\u2019s averaging 6.0 points per game in addition to rebounding and shot blocking.<\/p>\n

The game<\/strong><\/p>\n

Playing without injured leading scorer Collier, McBride exploded for 29 points, Williams had 18 and Kliundikova added 12 in the victory over the Sparks.<\/p>\n

Kelsey Plum<\/strong> led Los Angeles with 15 points, Derica Hamby<\/strong> had 13, and Azura Stevens <\/strong>chipped in 11.\u00a0<\/p>\n
