Watch the video below.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmj.com\/story\/53018217\/greenville-teens-iphone-calls-911-after-crash-saves-her-life\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported by WFMJ<\/a>, earlier this month, 16-year-old Lindsay Leskovac fell asleep while driving back home late at night.<\/p>\n<p>She crashed her truck, suffered multiple fractures, including both legs and her cervical spine, and lost consciousness. Upon detecting the crash, her iPhone automatically dialed 911, and sent a rescue team to the scene.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Her mother, who didn\u2019t know about the Crash Detection, said that the feature on her iPhone probably saved her life.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe person from Fire and Rescue told me that 911 said the phone had initiated the call. So I looked further into it to find out exactly who made the call and how it happened. I discovered that iPhones, if you have a 14 or newer, and she has the iPhone 14, have an automatic Crash Detection feature, as long as the setting is turned on.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She also urged users to make sure that the feature is on, and you can do that by going to Settings &gt; Emergency SOS &gt; Toggling \u201cCall After Severe Car Crash\u201d ON<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/guides\/crash-detection\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crash Detection<\/a> is available on:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>iPhone 14 or later (all models) with iOS 16 or later<\/li>\n<li>Apple Watch Series 8 or later, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), and Apple Watch Ultra or later with watchOS 9 or later<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Do you know anyone who\u2019s had their life saved by features like Crash Detection or Emergency SOS?
