Officials in Rice, Minnesota, have issued a citywide boil water advisory due to a loss of water pressure.<\/p>\n
A water main break on Thursday resulted in a dip in water pressure, increasing the risk of exposure to bacteria, viruses and parasites, according to a notice on the city\u2019s website. Now, city staff are working to isolate and repair the main break.<\/p>\n
The issue was expected to be resolved \u201cwithin 36 hours,\u201d though it was not immediately clear what time the water main break occurred.<\/p>\n
Rice residents are asked to use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and making ice until given the all clear.<\/p>\n
