Michael Porter Jr.<\/a> has shared his thoughts on who\u2019d win a game of basketball between the women’s Team USA and McDonald\u2019s All-American boys.<\/p>\n

After a training session with PlaqueBoyMax<\/a>, which was live-streamed, Porter Jr. sat down with the streamer to answer some “uncomfortable” questions. <\/p>\n

When the two got on the topic of who would win the hypothetical match up (around the 30-minute mark in the video below), Max said he thought the boys team would “win by, like, about 10.”<\/p>\n

Porter Jr. sucked his teeth, which caused Max to begin laughing. He then elaborated by explaining his thoughts on what he thinks would happen if the best women basketball players in the US competed against the country’s top high school male players.<\/p>\n

“Man, if the WNBA played the McDonald\u2019s All-American boys high school players, I\u2019m not even going to hold you bro,\u201d Porter Jr. told Max. “Me, Trae Young, Deandre Ayton, Gary Trent Jr., P.J. Washington, if we played the WNBA All-Stars, no disrespect bro. I\u2019m not even going to say.”<\/p>\n

The pair began talking about playing Caitlin Clark<\/a> and the Indiana Fever. When Max brought up the time Porter Jr. played for the MOKAN Elite AAU basketball team in high school, the streamer asked who\u2019d win between the two teams. “That\u2019s a smooth 40-piece bruh,” Porter Jr. replied.<\/p>\n

Last year, Porter Jr. ruffled some feathers over comments he made about WNBA demands for pay equity<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old appeared on an episode of The Pivot<\/a>, where he was asked about his\u202foutspokenness on women players receiving equal pay. He suggested that WNBA players are incomparable to men because of their smaller fanbase.<\/p>\n

“I see from both sides. I know these females want to get paid more, and they\u2019re very talented. But so is a famous ping-pong player,” Porter said. “Like, the best ping pong player is just as talented as the best NBA player. That doesn\u2019t mean that they\u2019re going to get paid the same because it\u2019s what the people wanna watch.”<\/p>\n

He continued: “As much as I understand females wanting the same treatment as men basketball players, it’s a different sport. They’re not packing out the arenas, obviously, their TV deals aren’t the same. So as much as I advocate for women and kind of the equality of the respect of their craft, I mean, you can’t pay them the same thing. But I do feel like there should be a little way to make a little bit more money because they are very talented.”<\/p>\n

During their training stream, Porter Jr. cooked Max in a 1v1 game that went viral. While Max struggled to contain the 6’10 Power Forward, the former Denver Nugget who is now a Brooklyn Net hit him with everything from step-back three-pointers to dunks on his head.<\/p>\n
