The \u201cAurora Teagarden Mysteries\u201d actress, 73, opened up about the beloved sitcom \u201cTaxi,\u201d which she starred in from 1978 to 1983.<\/p>\n

I never looked at the log line [when auditioning for a role] like: \u2018Audition for male, six foot four,\u2019 you know, \u2018250 pounds,\u2019 I\u2019d go for the audition,\u201d the star told AARP<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t care what the description is. Once I get in the room, I\u2019m going to do what I\u2019m going to do. Like with \u2018Taxi.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI walked in, they\u2019re all sitting around, and I said with my script in my hand, \u2018One thing I want to know before we start: Who wrote this s\u2014?\u2019 and I threw it on the table,\u201d DeVito recounted about his audition. <\/p>\n He added, \u201cIt was almost like a nanosecond of \u2018Did I screw everything up?\u2019 They fell on the floor.
