begin his title defence at the Wimbledon championships. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/carlos-alcaraz-now-says-what-he-told-himself-minutes-before-beating-novak-djokovic-in-the-2024-wimbledon-final\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic<\/a> in last year\u2019s final to win the title for a second consecutive time, and now bids to become the fifth man in the Open Era to three-peat at the All England Club. <\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard is currently on a 15-match winning streak, which dates back to the beginning of the Italian Open in May, and has just added a fifth Grand Slam title to his name at the French Open. <\/p>\n<p>Ahead of his fifth appearance at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/Wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wimbledon<\/a>, the 22-year-old has competed at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/Queen&#039;s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Queen\u2019s<\/a> Club Championships, where he has been without his head coach, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/Juan-Carlos-Ferrero\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Juan Carlos Ferrero<\/a>, who has now revealed his plans ahead of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz<\/a>\u2018s campaign in SW19.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marca.com\/tenis\/2025\/06\/20\/ferrero-viaja-lunes-londres-unirse-alcaraz-cara-wimbledon.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Marca<\/a>, after the Roland Garros final, where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/opinion\/where-jannik-sinner-and-carlos-alcarazs-french-open-final-ranks-in-the-best-tennis-matches-of-all-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz defeated Jannik Sinner<\/a> in a five-set classic, Ferrero took a short break. <\/p>\n<p>He plans to leave for London next Monday to finalise the world number two\u2019s preparations for the third Grand Slam of the year. <\/p>\n<p>Joining Ferrero will be physiotherapist Juanjo Moreno and Alcaraz\u2019s agent, Albert Molina.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz will enter Wimbledon this year as the second seed, meaning a Grand Slam final rematch with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sinner<\/a> could be on the Wimbledon<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz made his first appearance at Wimbledon in 2021, where, after advancing through the qualifiers, he played his debut match against Botic van de Zandschulp.<\/p>\n<p>He beat the Dutchman but lost in the second round to Mikael Ymer, despite winning the first set. <\/p>\n<p>The following year, Alcaraz made the fourth round before losing to Sinner over four sets, in what dropped just two sets en route to the final, where he met Djokovic in the first of their two Wimbledon final matchups.<\/p>\n<p>He overcame the Serb in a five-set thriller to lift the trophy, becoming the first man from his country to do so since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/rafael-nadal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rafael Nadal<\/a> in 2010. <\/p>\n<p>The next year,
