Investigators are working to determine if a body found near the 100 block of Sea World Drive is connected to an earlier hit-and-run collision that happened in the same area, according to a press release shared by the San Diego Police Department. <\/p>\n
Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in that area at around 12:20 a.m. Saturday morning. While conducting their investigation they found that at least one of the drivers had left the scene before the police got there. <\/p>\n
The call was cleared two hours later, at around 2 a.m. <\/p>\n
Later in the day, at 1 p.m. the San Diego Police Department responded to a call in the same area regarding reports of a person being found near the scene of the earlier crash. <\/p>\n
That individual was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n
Now, police officers are investigating if the body found in the area is connected to the hit-and-run collision from the early morning. <\/p>\n
