{"id":188861,"date":"2025-08-31T06:09:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-31T06:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/188861\/"},"modified":"2025-08-31T06:09:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T06:09:09","slug":"all-the-workers-over-billionaires-protest-locations-in-l-a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/188861\/","title":{"rendered":"All the &#8216;Workers Over Billionaires&#8217; protest locations in L.A."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Labor Day is a reminder of the labor movement of the late 19th century when thousands of Americans protested and fought for fairer, more equitable labor laws and workplaces. <\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s federal holiday is no different as <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/story\/2025-08-30\/labor-day-california-unions-trump-ice-raids-seiu-ufw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">unions are challenged<\/a> with protecting their members from the Trump Administration\u2019s immigration raids, cuts in Medicaid services and a weakened National Labor Relations Board.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers have put together the nationwide protest <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/maydaystrong.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">\u201cWorkers over Billionaires,\u201d<\/a> calling it a \u201c<a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/seiu.org\/2025\/08\/labor-day-seiu-locals-launch-dozens-of-workers-over-billionaires-actions-nationwide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">refusal to let billionaires<\/a> slash care, scapegoat immigrants, raid public dollars, and divide working people for profit.\u201d In June, tens of thousands of demonstrators showed up for <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2025-06-14\/la-me-no-kings-marches-los-angeles\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cNo Kings\u201d protests<\/a> across Southern California.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of the planned protests in the Los Angeles area slated for Monday.
