\n\tLady Gaga<\/a> is returning to the MTV<\/a> VMAs<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tGaga has officially joined the list of 2025 VMAs performers<\/a> set to appear at this year\u2019s awards ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 7. Both MTV and the VMAs announced the exciting news on social media Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere will be magic in the air at the 2025 #VMAs because @LADYGAGA IS PERFORMING!\u201d the VMAs shared on Instagram. \u201cYou won\u2019t want to miss her return.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tMother Monster joins an already announced slate of performers<\/a> including Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>, Doja Cat<\/a>, Jelly Roll<\/a>, Post Malone<\/a> and Tate McRae<\/a>. Sombr, Alex Warren<\/a> and J Balvin<\/a> featuring DJ Snake will also hit the VMAs stage.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis year will mark Gaga\u2019s long-awaited return to the awards ceremony. Her last VMAs appearance was five years ago in 2020, where she performed \u201cRain On Me\u201d alongside Ariana Grande.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cAbracadabra\u201d singer is the leading nominee<\/a> at the VMAs this year, with 12 nods in total. Gaga is nominated in top categories including for video of the year (for \u201cDie With a Smile\u201d), artist of the year and album of the year for Mayhem. Following closely behind her is Bruno Mars with 11 noms and Kendrick Lamar with 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tGaga already has 18 VMAs, though her most iconic moments<\/a> tied to the MTV-hosted awards ceremony point back to her debut 2009 performance of \u201cPapparazzi<\/a>\u201d and when she wore a dress made out of raw meat to the show in 2010.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAt this year\u2019s ceremony, Mariah Carey will be honored<\/a> with the Video Vanguard Award, which will also see her put on a performance of her greatest hits. LL Cool J<\/a> will host.\u00a0<\/p>\n
