UPDATE (7:25 P.M.) A FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR CENTRAL BEXAR COUNTY. AVOID DRIVING UNLESS EVACUATING TO HIGHER GROUND.<\/p>\n

UPDATE (7:00 P.M.) A flood advisory has been issued for much of Bexar County, including most of San Antonio. Avoid low-lying and flood-prone areas, and don’t drive through water.<\/p>\n

UPDATE (6:30 P.M.): A FLASH FLOOD ADVISORY has been issued for part of Northwest Bexar County by the National Weather Service. <\/p>\n

Over 2,000 customers are without power as heavy rains lead to at least 13 active outages across the San Antonio area, according to CPS Energy.<\/p>\n

UPDATE (5:50 P.M.): The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Southeastern Gillespie County and Northeastern Kendall County until 8:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

UPDATE (4:50 P.M.): The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of Hays, Blanco, Kendall, and Comal counties. <\/p>\n

A flood advisory has been issued for parts of Gillespie and Llano counties, including the communities of Fredericksburg and Junction<\/p>\n

A Flood Warning has been issued for north of our region in Hamilton, Lampasas, and Mills counties.<\/p>\n

A flash Flood Warning has been issued for Southeastern McCulloch County, North Central Mason County, and Southwestern San Saba County in west central Texas.<\/p>\n

Pockets of heavy rain are crossing over the Texas Hill Country, with flooding possible depending on intensity. A potential for scattered storms around Bexar County to start around 11 p.m.<\/p>\n

SAN ANTONIO – A cold front is bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms to much of this city, prompting officials to issue a flood watch.<\/p>\n

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flood Watch effective now through Monday at 12:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

A possible rainfall of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated totals of 8 inches, may result in flash flooding in prone areas.<\/p>\n

Our latest forecast<\/strong><\/a> indicates that a very isolated risk of 5″ – 8″ of rain exists somewhere in the Flood Watch if storms train over the same area with heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n

Officials are warning those who live in low-lying areas or near rivers and creeks that those areas may flood very quickly.<\/p>\n
