SAN ANTONIO – An attic fire that left a large portion of a family home torched may have been caused by a lightning strike.<\/p>\n

Around 7:41 p.m. on Sunday, as heavy rains fell across San Antonio, crews were called to the scene of a house fire near the corner of Redriver Dawn and Loop 1604, just east of U.S. 281.<\/p>\n

When crews arrived, they began working to knock down the large house fire, which was mainly concentrated in and around the attic and roof.<\/p>\n

The fire was mostly extinguished, but still active nearly an hour after the blaze had started. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.<\/p>\n
