MTV has announced<\/a> that Lady Gaga<\/a> will perform at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards<\/a>. She joins a lineup<\/a> that currently includes Busta Rhymes, J Balvin<\/a>, Ricky Martin, and Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>, among others. Mariah Carey<\/a> will receive the Video Vanguard Award<\/a>. The 2025 VMAs take place on Sunday, September 7, at UBS Arena, in Elmont, New York.<\/p>\n

Lady Gaga previously performed at the VMAs in 2009\u2014where she delivered a star-making rendition<\/a> of \u201cPaparazzi\u201d\u2014and again in 2020<\/a> alongside Ariana Grande<\/a>. She\u2019s eligible for 12 awards this year, the most of any nominee, including Best Artist as well as Video and Song of the Year for her Bruno Mars<\/a> duet \u201cDie With a Smile<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since releasing her new album, Mayhem<\/a>, in March, Lady Gaga has pulled double duty<\/a> as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live and headlined<\/a> the first night of Coachella 2025<\/a>. Her Mayhem Ball Tour<\/a> of North America and Europe is set to run through December.<\/p>\n
