\n\tRobin Wright<\/a> is joining a handful of celebrities, like Ellen DeGeneres<\/a>, who left the U.S. for greener pastures \u2014 specifically, for the rolling hills of the U.K. countryside.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a new profile with The Times U.K.<\/a>, the eight-time Emmy-nominated actress-cum-director reflected on having found a new home in the U.K., where she has been living and working for the past few years.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAmerica is a s\u2014show,\u201d she told the publication, without delving into specific remarks around politics or president Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

\n\tOf England, she added: \u201cI love being in this country. There\u2019s a freedom of self here. People are so kind. They\u2019re living. They\u2019re not in the car in traffic, panicked on a phone call, eating a sandwich. That\u2019s most of America. Everything\u2019s rush, competition and speed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNoting the widely differing pace of life, the House of Cards alumna said she listens to birds chirping in the morning \u2014 a stark difference from the sounds at her oceanside Los Angeles home, where she would wake up to the noise of her neighbors\u2019 home renovations.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEveryone\u2019s building a huge house and I\u2019m just done with all that \u2014 I love the quiet. And I\u2019ve met my person. Finally.\u201d (Wright mentioned she has been dating architect Henry Smith, whom she met at a country pub.)<\/p>\n

\n\tThough The Princess Bride actress will soon appear in Prime Video<\/a>\u2018s psychological\/erotic thriller The Girlfriend<\/a>, episodes of which she is also directing, she said she is planning to take time off of work and move to the English seaside.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s liberating to be done,\u201d she said. \u201cBe done with searching, looking and getting 60% of what you wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n
