PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Expect another day with temperatures above average, as a ridge of high pressure will warm things up to 108 degrees this afternoon. That ridge will slide east of us and bring some monsoonal moisture our way later today.<\/p>\n

This moisture will serve as fuel for thunderstorms later today; the best chance will be in eastern Arizona and the high country. The outflow of these storms will bring another round of blowing dust through the Valley, along with a few isolated storms. <\/p>\n

An increasing chance of storms will be with us throughout the workweek, and we will also see a drop in temperatures. Highs by the end of the workweek will be in the mid-to-upper 90s. Our average high this time of year is 104, so it will be nice to be below average for a few days. <\/p>\n

There is also an Air Quality Alert because of high ozone levels. That Air Quality Alert has been extended now through Tuesday.<\/p>\n
