{"id":191636,"date":"2025-09-01T14:19:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T14:19:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/191636\/"},"modified":"2025-09-01T14:19:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T14:19:13","slug":"apple-5g-smartwatch-could-be-a-5g-sa-tonic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/191636\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple 5G smartwatch could be a 5G SA tonic"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Dell\u2019Oro\u2019s Dave Bolan thinks that a rumored 5G Apple smartwatch could be a tonic for 5G SA market<\/strong><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>The latest Dell\u2019Oro report said that the mobile core market grew 19% annually and 31% in the 2nd quarter<\/strong><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>The firm said that 71 MNOs have now officially launched 5G SA networks<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Forthcoming 5G smart watches are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bing.com\/videos\/riverview\/relatedvideo?q=apple+5G+smartwatch&amp;mid=8380D932F01DD0988E3B8380D932F01DD0988E3B&amp;FORM=VIRE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rumored<\/a> to be one of the things that will help drive steady 5G standalone (5G SA) growth in the back-end of 2025 and into 2026, according to Dave Bolan, research director at Dell\u2019Oro Group.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201c5G smartwatches will use [5G reduced capability] &#8211; which only works on 5G SA networks &#8211; and AT&amp;T already announced they support RedCap devices covering about 200 million [of the] population. If this is true, Verizon cannot be far behind,\u201d Bolan told Fierce in an email.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIt has not been announced when AT&amp;T and Verizon will launch 5G SA for consumers on a nationwide basis,\u201d the analyst said. \u201cIf the rumors are true that Apple will launch a 5G smartwatch in the fall or winter, that might be when AT&amp;T launches 5G SA for consumers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Apple hasn\u2019t confirmed a 5G smartwatch yet. It has, however, announced its annual hardware showcase, where\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/guide\/apple-watch-series-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">many expect<\/a> that the 5G smartwatch will be announced, as well as the latest iPhone 17 smartphone, for the 9th of September.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dell\u2019Oro Group said in its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/5g-mobile-core-surges-31-percent-in-2q-2025-according-to-delloro-group-302538168.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">second quarter 2025 mobile core network (MCN) and edge report<\/a>, that it predicted manufacturing revenues by 5G core vendors at a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.delloro.com\/news\/5g-mobile-core-surges-31-percent-in-q2-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">31% year-over-year growth<\/a> rate.
