<\/p>\nCLAY COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 A suspect is facing several charges after allegedly entering an Orange Park business with a gun, firing shots at the Clay Electric building, and nearly being shot himself, according to law enforcement.<\/p>\n

The Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office said that around 1 pm, deputies overheard an emergency call about a disturbance involving an armed person in Orange Park. The Orange Park Police Department confirmed it received a call about the man entering the Safelite AutoGlass on Kingsley Avenue with a gun.<\/p>\n
Exclusive video obtained by Action News Jax appears to show the suspect, 63-year-old Mark Gulden, arriving at and leaving the shop over the course of less than two minutes.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey, hey,\u201d the witness can be heard saying.<\/p>\n
The same witness then asked, \u201cWhat are you doing with a gun?\u201d<\/p>\n
OPPD said the man made bizarre statements to employees that didn\u2019t make much sense, and then left the scene before officers were called.<\/p>\n
The Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office said after overhearing the call, deputies spotted a truck matching the description at the Clay Electric building on Blanding Boulevard, about eight minutes away.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cAs they approached, the suspect got out and began firing toward the Clay Electric building,\u201d said Assistant Chief Chad Ricks with the Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
After giving verbal commands, CCSO said Gulden pointed a gun towards deputies.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne deputy returned fire, but did not strike the suspect,\u201d Ricks said. \u201cThe man eventually dropped his weapon, was tased, and taken into custody.\u201d<\/p>\n

While no one was inside the Clay Electric building.<\/p>\n According to Clay County jail logs, he is charged with aggravated assault, resisting deputies with violence, vandalism, and discharging a gun in public.<\/p>\n The Orange Park Police Department is conducting a separate investigation into the situation at Safelite.
