A Phoenix woman was shot in the head inside an SUV on Saturday in Payson, and a 22-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in her death, police said.<\/p>\n
There were three other people in the white Honda Pilot, including a 1-year-old sitting next to the victim, police said.<\/p>\n
Payson police responded just before 10 a.m. Aug. 30 after receiving calls about a woman who had been shot inside an SUV that had pulled into a parking lot near the Payson Denny\u2019s restaurant, according to a release.<\/p>\n
Officers and medical help arrived. The woman was taken to Banner Payson Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
An investigation showed that Donald Nash and Keonna Honanie, 20, both from Phoenix, were in the rear seat of the SUV as it traveled through Payson.<\/p>\n
\u201cNash and Honanie had been involved in an ongoing argument, and as the vehicle traveled through the 400 block of South Beeline Highway in Payson, Nash produced a firearm and shot Honanie in the head,\u201d the Payson Police Department release stated.<\/p>\n
Nash was booked into the Gila County Jail on one count of second-degree murder, three counts of felony endangerment and one count of resisting arrest, police said.<\/p>\n
