UK charity, ADHD Adult, explains that after a diagnosis if you choose to be treated with medication, you will go through a process called titration. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhdadult.uk\/faq\/#medication-titration\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">On their website<\/a>, they said that \u201cyour blood pressure, heart rate, weight and any benefits and side effects that you notice from the medication should be monitored carefully\u201d. This is to check how well you\u2019re tolerating medication and how effective it is. \u201cIn general, adults with ADHD are usually started on a low dose of lisdexamfetamine or methylphenidate and this dose will gradually be increased,\u201d they added. Other treatment options, if a person doesn\u2019t want medication, include therapy and lifestyle changes like exercise.
