{"id":191973,"date":"2025-09-01T17:19:22","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T17:19:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/191973\/"},"modified":"2025-09-01T17:19:22","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T17:19:22","slug":"give-a-thon-raises-over-2-million-for-phoenix-childrens-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/191973\/","title":{"rendered":"Give-A-Thon raises over $2 million for Phoenix Children\u2019s Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 It\u2019s Something Good when donors and volunteers come together to raise money for a worthy cause, benefitting <a href=\"https:\/\/phoenixchildrens.org\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/phoenixchildrens.org\/\">Phoenix Children\u2019s Hospital<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/phoenixchildrensfoundation.org\/signature\/give-a-thon\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/phoenixchildrensfoundation.org\/signature\/give-a-thon\/\">The hospital held its annual Give-A-Thon week<\/a>, hosted by KTAR News 92.3 and Arizona Sports 98.7. This year, the event raised nearly $2.5 million. Communities across Arizona gathered during the week-long fundraiser to help support world class care for kids. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Officials say the radio-thon is a critical source of funding for the hospital\u2019s greatest needs, such as supporting research, receiving state-of-the-art technology, recruiting lead physicians and implementing programs that make the hospital a comfortable environment for kids. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Donors had the option to make a monthly gift of $20 or a one-time gift of $240. In addition, a teddy bear was donated in their name to bring comfort and joy to children undergoing treatment.
