The scene where the remains were found (KPRC 2)<\/p>\n

Human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area in southwest Houston.<\/p>\n

The remains were discovered by an unhoused person in the woods near 12800 Bissonnet Street.<\/p>\n

Officials with Houston Police Department were alerted to the situation. Reports indicate that the remains have been there \u201cfor a long time,\u201d and the area was possibly a former homeless encampment.<\/p>\n

HPD homicide investigators are processing the scene. <\/p>\n

The specific circumstances of the incident remain unclear at this time.<\/p>\n
