He goes wider in scale\u2014and moves to one of the Public&#8217;s larger stages\u2014with this musical adaptation\u00a0of Thornton Wilder&#8217;s rule-shattering, Pulitzer-winning 1942 allegory\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/theater\/skin-of-our-teeth-review-broadway-revival-thornton-wilder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Skin of Our Teeth<\/a>, which takes a New Jersey family from the Ice Age to the end of the world.\u00a0(Kander and Ebb tried for years to adapt the same play, without much success.)
