HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 Authorities are looking for whoever killed a driver in northeast Houston early Tuesday morning. <\/p>\n

Around 1 a.m., the Houston Police Department said a passenger inside the car called 911 after the unidentified man in the driver\u2019s seat was shot several times on Memel Street near Kashmere Gardens. <\/p>\n

The two were the only ones in the vehicle, a couple of blocks away from the scene where police were called, when an unidentified shooter opened fire on the driver. <\/p>\n

The driver tried to flee, but succumbed to his injuries after driving a couple of blocks. The passenger then jumped out of the car and ran home to call 911. <\/p>\n

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation remains underway. <\/p>\n
