Daniil Medvedev continues to make big changes following his shock exit at the US Open, where he lost in the first round.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Medvedev<\/a> lost to Benjamin Bonzi in round one of the US Open<\/a>, suffering a third successive first round exit at Grand Slam level.<\/p>\n

Nick Kyrgios praised Medvedev<\/a> following the defeat, in which he lost his temper, arguing with the umpire and smashing his racket.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old once reached number one in the ATP<\/a> rankings, but currently occupies 13th place, with his last title arriving in 2023.<\/p>\n

Medvedev parted ways with Gilles Cervara<\/a> following his US Open exit, with the duo having worked together since 2017.<\/p>\n

And the Russian has now decided to split with another team member, having sent a message to fitness coach Eric Hernandez.<\/p>\n

Medvedev wrote on Instagram: \u201cThank you Eric. Thanks for making me Better Faster Stronger every day. You made me able to run more than 20 hours during one tournament and still have the chance to win it.<\/p>\n

Daniil Medvedev receives message from his coach as they split after the US Open<\/p>\n

Hernandez, who was in charge of the physical preparation of Medvedev, has also issued a message to the player.<\/p>\n

He posted on Instagram: \u201cMy dear Daniil. What a journey! I met you in 2014, and during these 11 years, we have in common many wonderful experiences and moments in and off court.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will remain etched in my memory forever. Working with you has been a true joy, through both the highs and the lows.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried to push you at your best, I put all my skills to bringing out the best in you and helping you make the most of what you could achieve.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for your confidence Daniil. I\u2019m deeply grateful for the journey we\u2019ve shared together. I wish you all the success, as a player but also in your family life as a father.<\/p>\n

The duo clearly enjoyed many happy moments together, but Medvedev is now seemingly very eager to make major changes going forward.<\/p>\n
